Billing FAQ

How does measurement billing work?

Podscribe bills for measurement & verification (airchecks, issue flags) based on a progressive tiered CPM, where you pay only for what you use, with no commitment required. The more impressions you use, the more you save.

Example:

The first 2 million podcast impressions in a month are to be billed at a $1.50 CPM. Then the next 3 million impressions that month are to be billed at a $1.35 CPM, and so on.

So if a month has 7 million podcast impressions, the total cost is 2 million impressions @ 1.50 CPM + 3 million impressions @ 1.35 CPM + 2 million impressions @ $1.20 CPM = $9,450.

Please note: YouTube views for simulcast buys are billed at the podcast rates, and streaming/CTV/in-app/display impressions are billed at separate tiers, displayed above in the second table.

Radio Attribution

Enhanced Radio Attribution is billed based on a percentage of the total monthly radio spend being measured by Podscribe, with a minimum fee of $3,000 per quarter. Similar to our Podcast and Digital attribution rates, the rate decreases as your monthly measurement volume increases.

Where can I see my billing usage in Podscribe?

In Podscribe, you can view your billing usage directly in the Overview tab using the Billing View feature.

What is Billing View?

Billing View is a filter on the Overview tab that shows only the impressions and campaign data you're being billed for. It's useful when you want to focus specifically on what your account is financially responsible for.

How do I turn on Billing View?

You can enable Billing View by opening the Advanced menu in the Overview tab settings and toggling Billing View on.

Notion image

What will I see when Billing View is on?

When enabled, the Overview will show impressions billed to your account, and where applicable, those of any advertisers with active attribution billed through your account.

You can tell Billing View is active by the banner that appears at the top of the page - this banner also lets you turn it off quickly without digging through settings.

Notion image

What's hidden or limited when Billing View is on?

To keep the view focused on your billing data, a few things are temporarily limited:

  • Impressions paid for by publishers are hidden
  • Reach and frequency metrics may be unavailable
  • Some tabs (Attribution, Spend) are disabled while the view is active

How do I turn it off?

You can turn Billing View off anytime using the banner at the top of the Overview page, or by going back into the settings toggle. Turning it off restores full reporting - including reach/frequency, all tabs, and publisher impression data.

Do I need special permissions to use Billing View?

Nope, Billing View is available to all users.

How is Podscribe SmartServe billed?

Podscribe SmartServe is billed as CPM uplift added to an advertiser’s existing attribution CPM rates. Note that uplifts are additive, so if an advertiser chooses to exclude customers and leverage sequential messaging on the same campaign line, the total CPM uplift would be $0.75 added to their attribution rate.

How can I see my past invoices?

Past invoices are available in the Billing tab, found under Account Settings.

📌

Note: The Billing tab is restricted to Account Admins only.

What can I see in the Billing tab?

Once in the Billing tab, you'll have access to:

  • Past invoices and billing statements
  • Monthly invoice line items that separate advertiser impressions from internal/Smart Promo campaigns
  • An Advertiser column showing which advertiser each invoice belongs to (if applicable, “-” shows for direct billing to your account)

Can I filter or export invoices?

Yes, you can filter invoices by most columns - hover the column header to see and click the filter icon. You can also export a campaign breakdown for any individual invoice or directly access the Stripe invoice from the Open in Stripe button.

📌

Note: Past Due invoices are treated as Unpaid.

Who has access to the Billing tab?

The Billing tab is only visible to Account Admins. If you don't see it in your Account Settings, reach out to your account admin for access.

When and how are measurement usage invoices sent?

Within the first 2 weeks of a month, Podscribe will send invoices for the prior month, auto-charging your card on file. As needed, Podscribe can also:

  • Separate invoices per advertiser, if your account has multiple advertisers.
  • Provide a detailed per campaign and day breakdown of usage
Are there free trials?

No. Our team gives tremendous focus towards making the experience for paying customers a success, but can only do so for committed users.

Are there refunds?

All sales are final. However, if you believe your invoice was incorrect or wrongly charged, please email billing@podscribe.com and we will do our best to make everything right.
