If a prefix or pixel was not added in time, Podscribe can still attribute and report on impressions retroactively by performing an impression backfill.
If you are an advertiser:
Please share this article with your publisher to help facilitate the backfill process, and cc
adops@podscribe.com on the email.
Template for Emailing Publishers
Hi!
We noticed that the Podscribe prefix or pixel was not active for our [Campaign Name] campaign, and we’d like to request a backfill of impressions so Podscribe can attribute and report these retroactively.
Please review the Help Center article from Podscribe for detailed instructions on preparing and submitting the required CSV file.
Once the CSV file is ready, please email it to adops@podscribe.com.
Thank you,
If you are a publisher:
Follow the steps below to prepare and submit your impression data for backfilling.
How Backfill Works
Podscribe can accept CSV logs of impressions from publishers or networks to backfill campaigns.
Once received, our engineering team processes the file, typically within 1–3 weeks.
After impressions are backfilled, Podscribe can display:
- The attributed events
- Retroactive data for those impressions in your dashboard
CSV File Requirements
Each row should represent one ad impression, with the following fields (required fields in bold):
- timestamp
- IP address (raw)
- user agent
- campaign name
- episode ID
- creative ID
- podcast / station name
- mobile ad ID (eg the IDFA/GAID), if applicable
- IPv4 address (optional, if the regular IP address is IPv6)
How to Send Your File
- Export your impression data into a CSV following the format above.
- Send it to your Podscribe contact or adops@podscribe.com.
- Our team will confirm receipt and notify you once the backfill is complete.
Can Podscribe backfill impressions from another pixel?
Yes. If another pixel logged impressions before Podscribe’s pixel was live, we can use those logs for backfill as long as the file includes:
- IP Address
- User Agent
- Timestamp
- Episode or Show ID
Can I upload the CSV myself?
Currently, uploading via dashboard is an admin-only feature. Clients should still follow the steps above to send the CSV file to the Podscribe team.
