No Impressions Matching to Campaign Troubleshooting

If your campaign is not showing any impressions, we recommend these quick troubleshooting steps:

1. Did the publisher confirm they placed the prefix or pixel for this show/campaign?

Occasionally the publisher may have forgotten to attach the pixel/prefix, attached the wrong pixel/prefix, or attached it to the wrong campaign. Also be sure to verify that the publisher did not remove the prefix on the show, in case they had it on earlier, but mistakenly removed it.

2. Is the campaign buy type correct?

If the buy type is set incorrectly, the campaign will not show any impressions.

  • Episodic (Baked-in) campaigns only display impression data received from the prefix.
  • Impression DAI campaigns only display impression data received from a DAI pixel.

If the wrong buy type was selected, you can edit the campaign to correct it. Once updated, impression data should begin to appear within 24 hours.

3. If the campaign is episodic (baked/faked-in), is an ad matched to it?

Episodic campaigns can only have impressions matched to them if we know which episode the ad aired in! This means there must be an aircheck matched to them. If no aircheck is matching, troubleshoot with this guide.

4. If the campaign is an impression buy (DAI), is the date range correct?

For impression campaigns, impressions will only match to the campaign if they air within its start/end date:

If the campaign’s date range needs adjusting, click the Edit Campaign pencil icon to edit your campaign’s start/end dates.

If your campaign is imported from a Google Sheet, modify the start/end date on the Google Sheet, then click the Import Now button so Podscribe’s system re-syncs your Google Sheet.

5. Are impressions appearing on the Overview?

Impressions for a campaign appear faster on the Overview (typically within ~2 hours of being received. If impressions appear on the Overview but not the Campaigns page, the system is receiving impressions but has not yet matched them to the Campaigns page. Check back again in 24 hours on the Campaigns page!

6. Is the campaign pointing to the right show?

Occasionally a campaign may point to the wrong version of a show, perhaps a duplicate with a similar name, or an outdated version of the show.

You can check what show your campaign points to by clicking the show logo on your Campaigns page, to visit the show’s page:

From the show’s page, verify the Apple podcast ID, or YouTube Channel/Playlist URL, and that the episodes you’re expecting appear on the page.

If your campaign points to the wrong show, correct this by:

  1. [if the campaign was created on the dash] duplicating the incorrectly made campaign on your dash, to re-create a new campaign pointing to the correct show. Then archive the incorrect campaign after creating the new, correct campaign.

  1. [if the campaign was imported from a Google Sheet], update the show’s apple ID or YouTube channel/playlist URL mapping.
7. Wait at least 24 hours

Be sure to give the system at least 24 hours after impressions have begun airing and all points above have been checked & corrected.

Check if a Backfill Is Needed

If the prefix or pixel was not added before the campaign aired, impressions may not appear because they were not tracked in real time.

In this case, you may need to backfill impression data.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, email adops@podscribe.com for help. Please include in your email a link to the campaigns, and which pixel(s)/prefix the publisher attached.
